Hi fans! I am back. It has been a crazy 2012, that is for sure! The first 5 months were ridiculously chaotic with my other job that I had in California. I didn’t get much of a break after last fall’s busy holiday photo season. The company that I was working for was going through an M&A which was very time consuming for me from December through early March. Then I went straight into corporate tax prep (5 entities) and when that was done, I had to search and interview for my replacement. I had been there for 8 years so finding the right person was VERY important to me. I was also knee deep in the short sale of our CA home which was super stressful! So, needless to say, the ‘spare’ time that I had was spent relaxing instead of blogging.
June was spent packing up our house and moving from CA to Missouri. This is the first time that either my husband or I have lived outside of CA. Ever. I think that we are blessed to have been in the military for almost 17 years and never left Southern California. I guess it was our time to make the change. We were really hoping for a tour in Japan, but the Marine Corps had other ideas. As soon as my husband was promoted, we got word that we were headed to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. We were actually supposed to go last December, but we requested an extension and thankfully it was granted. I have to admit, Missouri isn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be.
We spent our first couple months here in Missouri moving into our new home, making new friends, spending time with family (visitors already!) and exploring the area. We are finally settled and the kids started school this week. This gives me much more time to catch up on all the things I had to push aside this past year. And, I can breathe a little more now! I do have sooo many sessions to blog, going all the way back to summer of 2011. Because I am a bit OCD, I will probably back date those sessions on this blog so that they stay in the correct order. I did however manage to fix (finally!) all the session images from 2009 & 2010 that were lost when I transferred blogs last summer. That was a daunting project but I am so glad to have it finished!
Anywho…thanks for sticking around and keep checking back for more updates. Oh, and don’t forget to become a fan on FACEBOOK if you aren’t one already! 😉
